Heat stroke

Heat stroke is a serious medical emergency caused by excessive heat exposure. It occurs when the body temperature rises above 40–40.5°C and the body can no longer cool itself effectively. This condition may lead to brain injury, seizures, organ failure, and can be fatal if not treated promptly.

Key Warning Signs:

Body temperature higher than (40.5^\circ C)

Hot, dry skin with little or no sweating, even in extreme heat

Neurological symptoms such as confusion, disorientation, incoherent speech, seizures, or loss of consciousness

Rapid heartbeat and strong, fast pulse

Common Causes:
Heat stroke is usually caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures, especially under direct sunlight, or by intense physical activity in hot and humid environments.

First Aid Measures:

Move the patient to a cool, shaded area immediately

Remove unnecessary clothing

Cool the body with wet towels or apply ice packs to the neck, armpits, and groin areas

Seek emergency medical attention as soon as possible
